IMTOS India 2008
Indian Machine Tool Show
| Worldwide, India ranks 19th in production and 16th in consumption of machine tools. While exports have been on the rise, imports have seen phenomenal growth as well. Over the span of just a few years, between 2004-05 and 2006-07, imports have grown from INR 18 billion (about €324 million) to INR 28 million (over €500 million). With more and more multinationals setting up their production units in India, the sector is set to witness exponential growth.
Against this backdrop, IMTOS has been conceived to showcase the best from around the world in India. From the latest trends to solutions, knowledge-sharing to vendor development, networking opportunities to subcontracting; the possibilities are immense. Frequency: Annual.

Canton Machine Tool Fair 2008
9th China (Guangzhou) International Machine Tool Exhibition
| Formerly known as GIMT (the annual Guanghzhou International Machine Tool trade fair), this major event will present itself in 2008 as the Canton Machine Tool Fair. As the successor to the well-known GIMT+AMB China fair, this event will be the meeting point for the entire machine tool industry in South China.
The province of Guangdong (Canton), with its capital city Guangzhou, is the manufacturing hub of China, where state-of-the-art technologies are already widely used. As exhibitions always follow industry trends and needs, the organizers of the past GIMT+AMB shows have determined that it is time to take the concept to an advanced level—just as it already exists in Hannover, Milan, Tokyo, Chicago, and other advanced industry regions—and the Canton Machine Tool Fair 2008 will be the result. Frequency: Annual.
