24 February 2010 Zierhut Replaces Hall as Haas Automation Europe Director
Haas Automation Europe (HAE) is under new leadership following the appointment of Peter Zierhut as managing director. Zierhut, a founder of Haas Automation Inc., has held several senior management positions during his 26-year tenure at the company’s head office, including director of the service, sales, marketing and IT departments. At the end of 2009, Peter Hall announced to the staff and employees of Haas Europe the end of his busy, successful seven-year run as company MD. Hall returned immediately to Haas Automation Inc. in Oxnard, California, to take up a business development role. “Peter Zierhut brings a wealth of experience to HAE,” says Hall. “Thanks to all of my friends and colleagues in Zaventem, we have achieved a great deal in Europe, and Peter is the right man to take the company forward. He is committed to building and supporting HAE’s network of Haas Factory Outlets and also to developing the Haas Technical Education Centre programme. I’m sure he will lead the company to even greater success.” Peter Zierhut returns the compliment. “Peter Hall has invested enormous energy in helping to make HAE what it is today,” he says. “He has proved to be an inspired businessman with a unique vision. His dedication to the company and its goals has been exemplary.
