30 December 2008 EuroMold 2008 Satisfies Exhibitors
DEMAT GmbH, the event organizer, reported that EuroMold 2008, the 15th World Fair for Moldmaking and Tooling, Design and Application Development, hosted 58,842 trade visitors over its four days in early December. The organization pronounced the show another success. The latest EuroMold presented 1,523 exhibitors from 38 countries. These companies showcased their products and services through installations that occupied more than 75,000 m² of floor space at the Frankfurt Exhibition Centre in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. Many exhibitors from various industrial sectors, including special machine tools, told DEMAT that they made very good business contacts and also said that they finalized numerous deals. According to DEMAT, this jubilee edition of EuroMold thus showed that companies from all areas of product development can be successful despite the current global financial-industry crisis. The rapid prototyping sector in particular stood out. The number of exhibitors from that industry segment increased remarkably with this year’s edition. Those exhibitors displayed many innovations, including one that earned the manufacturer the 2008 EuroMold Award. Huntsman took the prize for a novelty in the rapid manufacturing technology field. Numbered among the highlights of the EuroMold fair were special feature shows presented in Halls 5.0, 6.0, 6.1, 8.0, and 9.0 and the Galleria. Also popular was the exhibition’s multifarious supporting programme. All of the international conferences, such as the Russian and Indian Mold- and Toolmaking Synergy symposia, the 10th Terry Wohlers conference, and the symposium offered by the Society of Plastics Engineers, were very well attended and appreciated.
