The Canadian Tooling & Machining Association (CTMA) will host the 13th World Tooling Conference of the International Special Tooling & Machining Association (ISTMA) that will be held on June 20–24, 2010, in the Canadian city of Windsor. The ISTMA World board of directors met in November in Windsor and previewed the conference facility.

Joaquim Menezes, the president of ISTMA, pronounced the Canadian host city “world-class Windsor.” Association delegates met at Caesar’s Windsor Convention Centre, where the ISTMA tooling conference will take place. The 2010 edition of the triennial conference will be staged in conjunction with the 11th International Pattern-Model Makers Congress.

The November meeting’s welcome dinner was attended by 25 people, including CTMA officers and members and representatives of the Windsor Essex Development Commission, as well as Menezes, ISTMA Europe president Fausto Romagnani, ISTMA World vice president Egon Jaeggin, and the leaders of ISTMA Americas. David Glover, CTMA Windsor Chapter chair, was host.

ISTMA is made up of large precision-machining associations representing the machining, tool, die, and mould sector in 31 countries worldwide.
