DP Tech CAM Upgrades Showing at EuroMold

Esprit® 2009 and Esprit Mold Version 10, the latest versions of the computer-aided-manufacturing (CAM) mould software created by DP Technology, are to be displayed at the company’s booth at EuroMold 2008, which takes place December 3–6 in Frankfurt, Germany. Visitors to the Esprit booth can expect one-on-one interaction with DP Technology staff and demonstrations of the software upgrades.

The latest version of Esprit results from an effort to focus on both the shorter-term needs of existing customers and the longer-term direction of the metal-working community. It introduces many new technologies in the areas of 3- and 5-axis milling, feature recognition, and the user interface, and includes productivity-enhancing features for milling, turning, and wire-EDM part programming. Esprit 2009 is designed to run on the Microsoft Windows XP and Vista operating systems.

The new version of Esprit Mold includes significant performance increases for the 3D programmer designed to reduce cycle times by 25 to 50% or more while simultaneously increasing part quality and reducing programming time and effort.

Esprit is a high-performance CAM system for a full range of machine tool applications, delivering full-spectrum programming for 2- to 5-axis milling, 2- to 22-axis turning, 2- to 5-axis wire EDM, multitasking mill-turn machining and b-axis machine tools, and high-speed 3- and 5-axis machining.

Esprit Mold is an automated high-speed 3- and 5-axis CAM system that uses knowledge of in-process stock, remaining material, and integrated simulation and verification to deliver fast, safe, and reliable programming for a wide variety of 3D machining applications.
