Husky Injection Molding Systems has created an Automated Systems Group with a mandate to specialize in complete system solutions for customers. The new group was formed through a merger of the company's Robotics and Systems Integration divisions.
"We have been providing system solutions to our customers for 25 years," says Bruce Catoen, vice president of the new group. "In that time, we have developed a reputation as innovators in the injection molding industry. We want to be more than a hardware supplier. We want to be the world's leading solution provider to the injection molding industry."
Catoen continues: "Our mandate is to supply innovative systems, using our own equipment as core components while partnering with leading mold, automation, and auxiliary equipment suppliers."
Automated Systems has the infrastructure to undertake the conception, project management, integration, and test turnkey of work cells. An important benefit of these services is reduced time to market with optimized work cells. Testing and debugging of a finished system can be accomplished at one of Husky's 18 Technical Centers around the world, or at a customer's facility.
"Although Husky offers one of the most comprehensive product lines in the industry, we realize that partnerships are vital to delivering world-class solutions," says Catoen. "Over the past five years, we have developed an extensive and very qualified network of partners. Our customers will benefit from our global purchasing power."
