Groundbreaking Tool & Mold Expo
Debuts in Southern California

Much to the satisfaction of its organizers, Tool & Mold Expo, held October 28–30 in Anaheim, California, provided a clear industry answer to challenges in the design, manufacture, purchase, and operation of tools and molds. The exhibition showcased innovations and technological breakthroughs from US, Canadian, and Mexican companies benefiting all facets of the tool and mold and molding industries.

TME 2003 proved to be a "win-win" fair for exhibitors and attendees. Said Pat Fleming of Progressive Components: "The expo reached the right people. Folks came in from all over the country. We saw key people, the decision-makers and our customers in California."

Rebecca Hamstra of RJG Inc. agreed about the event's focused appeal, noting that "this is the first exhibition that is tool and mold industry specific. It pulled in people directly involved in the tool and mold industry versus just plastics." Hamstra also seconded the evaluation of visitor quality. "The attendees were the ones we wanted to reach," she said. Other exhibitors also reported getting quality leads.

Clay Camburn and Doug Sellers of Access Communications were the creators of TME. "This event is particularly important to the North American tool and mold industry at a time when global competition is becoming more aggressive and the US economy is recovering," said Camburn. Next year, TME 2004 will be held November 9–11 at the same venue.
