Corey Rucci, chief financial officer of Poco Graphite Inc., has been promoted to chief operating officer at the company, which manufactures premium graphite materials and carbides, and provides advanced solutions for the machine tool industry and the semiconductor sector. In his new capacity, Rucci will be responsible for operations while continuing his CFO duties.
"Corey has demonstrated the kind of leadership ability that will take Poco to the next level," said company president and CEO John Beasley in making the announcement at Poco's international headquarters in Decatur, Texas, USA. "I'm confident that under his direction Poco will build on its growth initiatives and continue to develop markets worldwide."
Rucci, a CPA, has an extensive background in accounting, finance, marketing, and strategic planning. He joined Poco in 1998 as vice president of finance, planning, and business development. Previously, he was with Unocal for 19 years in a variety of positions, including refining, marketing, exploration and production. Rucci earned his BS degree in accounting from the University of Illinois and an MBA degree in finance from De Paul University.
