28 December 2005 Sescoi Japan Celebrates 10th Anniversary
Back in October 1995, Sescoi opened its Japanese subsidiary in the Minato-ku district of Tokyo in order to be closer to existing and potential customers in Japan and nearby market territories. Now, to mark its 10th anniversary, Sescoi Japan has introduced a remarkable sales offer for new WorkNC customers. The purchaser of just one WorkNC license is being given the choice of either a free personal computer or a 10-month floating license, as long as certain conditions are met. WorkNC, Sescoi’s automatic CAD/CAM software for 2- through 5-axis milling, was immediately popular with Japanese automobile manufacturers and mould makers, who were quick to recognize that the reliable, automatic, easy-to-use software could deliver productivity benefits, particularly with the technical support and service that backed it up. All Japanese automakers are now customers of Sescoi Japan, as are many companies in industries as diverse as aerospace, telecommunications, and electronic goods. WorkNC is used by at least a quarter of all members of the Japanese Die & Mould Industry Association (JDMA). A recent survey of Japanese automotive die and mould makers conducted by the newspaper Nikkan Kogyo found that WorkNC is the most popular CAM system within that industry. Sescoi’s integrated management solution for custom manufacturers, WorkPlan, also has been adopted by a number of Japanese tool and mould makers. In a high-wage economy like Japan’s, efficient and automated work and information flow can reduce costs and thus increase competitiveness. Such streamlining is the purpose of WorkPlan. The highly trained Sescoi Japan office staff now number 18 dedicated to technical support. Also on-site are R&D personnel. To help customers continually develop their skills, Sescoi Japan offers a full training programme and regularly organizes informational seminars. For further information: Sescoi International SAS
