Moldflow, Yudo Launch Chinese
Manufacturing Operations

Moldflow and Yudo Co. Ltd. have finalized an agreement to expand their business relationship. The agreement allows Yudo to manufacture Moldflow’s Altanium® hot runner process control products in China for sale locally. Moldflow, a leading provider of automation and optimization software for the plastics injection moulding industry, and Yudo, one of the world’s largest suppliers of hot runner systems, will work together to meet growing demand for technologically advanced shop-floor manufacturing solutions.

Altanium is Moldflow’s modular, small-footprint process control system that supports up to 384 hot runner zones. Yudo now distributes Altanium products worldwide on an OEM basis, as well as selling its own products. When the manufacturing agreement with Moldflow was signed, the company placed an initial order for component parts totalling more than $600,000, of which a significant amount will ship this quarter. This order will provide Yudo with a variety of Altanium platforms from which to begin the start-up phase of the manufacturing programme.
